Who We Are
Kinline builds and operates software products, including apps for the Atlassian Marketplace. In this
policy, "Kinline", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the provider of those products and services.
"Customer" refers to the organization that uses our website, contacts us, subscribes to communications,
or installs one of our apps.
Data We Collect
We collect and process only the information needed to operate our business, provide our apps, respond to
requests, and communicate with people who choose to hear from us. Depending on how you interact with
Kinline, this may include:
- Contact details, such as name, email address, company name, and the content of messages sent to us.
- Email addresses and communication preferences for people who subscribe to product updates, marketing emails, or other Kinline communications.
- Atlassian account, site, license, installation, and app usage metadata available to us through Atlassian Marketplace, Atlassian Developer Console, Forge logs, licensing, analytics, and support tools.
- Customer-configured app settings and app data needed for each installed app to work inside the customer's Atlassian Cloud site.
- Limited technical data, such as browser, device, and error information, when needed for website operation, troubleshooting, security, and product improvement.
How We Use Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, secure, and improve our website, Marketplace listings, and apps.
- To operate app functionality inside customer Atlassian Cloud sites.
- To provide customer support, respond to inquiries, and manage customer relationships.
- To manage app licensing, billing, Marketplace review, security review, and operational diagnostics through Atlassian platform tools.
- To send marketing or product communications only where a person has subscribed, requested information, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
- To comply with legal, security, fraud prevention, and regulatory obligations.
App Data and Atlassian Hosting
Our Atlassian apps are designed to run in Atlassian Cloud, primarily using Atlassian Forge. Unless a
specific app states otherwise in its Marketplace listing or documentation, we do not host a separate
remote backend for app data and we do not export app data to external infrastructure controlled by
Kinline. App data is stored and processed within the Atlassian app environment, such as Jira or
Confluence product data, Forge storage, Forge logs, Marketplace licensing, and Atlassian Developer
Console dashboards.
We may view limited app, installation, license, usage, diagnostic, and error information through
Atlassian-provided dashboards and tools where this is necessary to operate, support, secure, or improve
our apps. We do not sell app data or use it for third-party advertising.
Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to Kinline updates or otherwise ask to receive communications from us, we may store your
email address and related preferences for that purpose. You can opt out of marketing communications at
any time by using the unsubscribe option in the email where available or by contacting us at
kinline@support.net.
Sharing and Subprocessors
We share personal data only where needed to provide our services, operate our business, comply with legal
requirements, or protect our rights and users. Relevant service providers and platform providers may
include:
- Atlassian, for Marketplace, Jira, Confluence, Forge, licensing, Developer Console, app hosting, logs, analytics, and support-related platform services.
- Website hosting, domain, email, and communication providers used to operate Kinline websites and communications.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or needed to protect legal rights, security, or service integrity.
We do not sell personal data. We do not provide customer app data to third parties for advertising.
Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this
policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. App data stored in Atlassian
products or Forge storage is generally controlled by the customer, the app configuration, Atlassian
platform behavior, and uninstall or deletion actions. Marketing subscription data is retained until the
recipient unsubscribes or asks us to delete it, unless we need to keep limited records for legal or
suppression-list purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. For Atlassian apps, we
rely on Atlassian Cloud and Forge security controls for app hosting, storage, authentication, and access
management, and we design our apps to request only the permissions needed for their functionality.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to limit access, reduce data
collection, and avoid storing sensitive credentials unless a product explicitly requires them. Our
current Atlassian apps do not require customers to provide Atlassian account passwords or API tokens to
Kinline.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the
processing of personal data. Customer organizations are responsible for managing data in their own
Atlassian Cloud sites. If your request relates to data controlled by your organization, we may direct you
to contact that organization's administrator.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the
"Last updated" date and provide additional notice where required.
